PEACE III Pettigo Tullyhommon Termon Project Newsletter

Welcome to the 1st edition of the PEACE III Pettigo, Tullyhommon, Termon Project Newsletter.  The purpose of the newsletter is to update you on progress on site to date and to advise you on the planned works over the next few months.

Progress to Date

P.J. Treacy & Sons Ltd started work on the Termon Centre site, Station Road in November 2012.  Demolition of the St. McCartan’s Hall and site clearance works were completed in November which allowed for construction works to begin on the new Childcare Centre and Termon Centre.

Childcare Centre

After completing blockwork/stonework and roof cladding, the aluminum windows and doors have been fitted.  1st fix Mechanical and Electrical are nearing completion; External plastering has commenced.

Termon Centre

Following the completion of the structural steel frame and blockwork, the roof cladding is nearing completion.  1st fix Mechanical and Electrical installation has commenced.

The drainage and foundations layers have been completed on the multi-use games area (Sports pitch)

Methodist Hall

Following commencement in March 2013, all retaining walls, foundations and sub structure works are completed.  Superstructure block work is ongoing.

Mill Street/Main Street works

Works are progressing well at both Mill Street and Main Street.  Underground ducting, kerbing have been laid and the surfacing of footpaths is underway.

Works planned for the next few months

Internal plastering will commence in the Childcare Centre.  1st fix Mechanical and Electrical works will continue in the Termon Centre and windows will be fitted.  Stone cladding and external plaster works will also commence.

The Diamond and Station Road street works will continue as will works along the riverside.
